If you are into online gaming, you have probably heard of the Assassin’s Creed series. This series is an award-winning video game that consists of 8 main games, several short films, various transmedia projects, and 17 spin-off games. Each game has generated novelizations, adding and adapting to the story of the game corresponding to it.
The Tease of New Release
On Monday, Ubisoft has released the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China trailer. This series is said to be the first of the three series that used 2.5 D side-scrolling, which is based on stealth-action series. The trailer has lasted for 90 second and it shows off the setting of 16th Century China, with Shao Jun, the new female hero, who is equipped with all the deadly weapons, including rope darts, daggers, and secret shoe blades. The best thing about the game is the fact that players are allowed to travel to the real-places, such as the Port of Macau, the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and the Maijishan Grottoes.
The story is about vengeance. When Jun left to coach under Ezio Auditore, she returns to her homeland and pursues her vengeance to those who killed her Assassin compatriots. Basically, each game is set in different eras with different heroes; therefore it has different art styles.
To look ahead, the new series will launch on April 21 for computers and PlayStation 4. For Xbox One edition, it will arrive on April 22, the day after its first launch. For people who already bought the Unity DLC pass of Assassin’s Creed, the game is free. For others, it is available at a cost of $10.
