If you have been reading PlayStation 4 updates, you are probably aware that this edition is about to patch soon due to the number of issues reported. Even if the significant changes were about to happen, most probably in the middle of July, you can’t amend the fact that there are certain issues that persist with the PlayStation 4 edition of USFIV. Evo, as one of the largest fighting game tournaments, it still chooses the Xbox version over the former. Joey Cuellar, co-founder of Evo Championship explained the situation on Twitter briefly.
Last month, the Ultra Street Fighter IV was exclusively released for PS4. Due to the high expectations, players were incredibly excited to grab the item. Unfortunately, considerable issues were discovered with its latest Capcom fighting game. Among the issues found include strange visuals, slow moving character, and input lag. At all costs, these issues were not acceptable. Suffice it to say, playing this version for a competitive event is, no doubt, a major disaster. It makes sense that that tournament will ditch PS4 Ultra Street Fighter 4 for Xbox 360 Edition.
Last week, Capcom released a statement addressing the issues to defend its part, saying that they are working for Sony to fix the problems and introduced a new patch for the game’s improvement. As a matter of fact, the third-party production group of Sony is the one who published and developed the game, and not solely the Capcom. Sony promised a new patch to fix and clear the problems this week.
